ADHD and creativity go hand in hand! A common definition fo creativity is - "The generation of ideas or products that are useful and original".
Reasearch indicates that people who have ADHD are better at using creative thinking processes than people who do not have ADHD. However they just don't know how to use it!
There are 3 types of creative thinking that ADHD-ers can be good at-
1. Divergent thinking- The ability to generate many solutions to an open ended problem (brainstorming)
2. Conceptual expansion- The formation of new and unusual associations between pre-existing concepts
3. Overcoming knowledge constraints (thinking outside the box!)
So while there are lots of difficulties that people who have ADHD face in everyday life, creativity is not one of them!
