This is an instrument used mainly in coaching, however, there is a bit of coaching in every therapy session and this is a great tool to check on yourself: the wheel of life.
There are 8 areas in our life that are included in this wheel and that we can evaluate looking at our life. The areas are:
1- Health;
2- Career;
3- Finances;
4- Family & friends;
5- Romantic relationships;
6- Personal development;
7- Entertainment;
8- Environment.
By all means feel free to add one or more areas if you feel like it, this is indicative.
For each of the areas you can assign a level of satisfaction from 1, totally unsatisfied, to 10, completely happy. In its simplicity this is of course an activity that brings you great reflection. You may realize the areas where you invest more energy and time and those you overlooked. You may feel that is exactly the way you want to live or you may discover desires for change.
Embrace the self-reflection and start to think about what you need, what you are going to do, what is your next step.
